Jesse Chen serves as the Chairman of SVT Angels. He co-founded Maton Venture in 1997 and has served as its Managing Director since. Maton has invested in 33 technology companies with most of them since inception. Maton has 6 IPOs and 9 M&As to date.

Jesse currently serves as Chairman of AXT Inc., a NASDAQ listed public company and as Director for several private companies in US and Asia, and as Advisor for Monte Jade, ITRI and NCKU. Jesse co-founded BusLogic in 1988 and served as CEO of from 1990 till it was acquired in 1996. BusLogic designed, produced & marketed ASIC chips, PC boards & software for IT & storage industries, and provided over 60x return for early investors in 6 years upon acquisition. Jesse served as Chairman of the Monte Jade Science and Technology Association West from 1997 to 1998 and as Chairman of Monte Jade Global from 1998 to 2000. Jesse created and chaired the first Monte Jade Investment Conference in 1996.

Jesse received BS Aeronautic Engineering from National Cheng Kung University, MS Electrical Engineering from Loyola Marymount University and Certificates of Director College from Stanford University Law School.

Co-founded BusLogic in 1988 and served as CEO till it was acquired in 1996 (now part of IBM). BusLogic designed, produced & marketed ASIC, PC board and software for IT and storage industries. Investors received 60 times return in 6 years. Dick Kramlich, Chairman of NEA, was my board of director who was also original Apple investor.
