
李廣益(Gwong-Yih Lee)
Gwong is currently the Managing Director of Translink Capital. Prior to joining Translink Capital in 2014, Mr. Lee was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CyberTAN Technology, Inc., a publicly listed company on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, since 2006 and an affiliated company of Foxconn Group. Prior to CyberTAN, Mr. Lee founded Transmedia in March of 1998 which was successfully acquired by Cisco Systems in 1999. Transmedia set a record for highest acquisition value for a privately held company for Cisco at the time. Gwong also founded Digicom Systems which was acquired by Creative Lab in 1994. Gwong serves on the board for Creative Lab, ITRI International, and is an Advisor for Foxconn. Gwong has also been granted as an outstanding alumni from NCTU and a distingushed Engineering award from CIE/USA, the Chinese Institute of Engineers Organization.
Mr. Lee holds a MS degree in EE from the SUNY at Stony Brook and a BS degree in EE from National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan.
Gwong-Yih Lee is the Chairman of CyberTAN Technology, Inc., and the Advisor to the CEO of Foxconn. Prior to joining CyberTAN, Mr. Lee served as General Manager at Cisco Systems, Inc. from 1999-2004. In 1998, Mr. Lee founded TransMedia and served as the Chairman and CEO until September 1999. TransMedia was acquired by Cisco in 1999 for $500M US, breaking the valuation record for private acquisitions by Cisco. Mr. Lee was selected for the 1999 Annual Silicon Valley Top 10 Person of the Year. Prior to this, Mr. Lee founded Digicom Systems Inc. in 1987 as Chairman and CEO till the company was acquired by Creative Labs in 1994, and he served as President of Digicom Subsidiary until 1997. Mr. Lee has been an Independent Non-executive Director of Creative Technology Ltd. since 2009.
Mr. Lee holds a MSEE degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a BSEE degree from National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan.
